  About Sydney

Aerial shot of Sydney Harbour
Located on the south-east coast of Australia, Sydney is the gateway to the nation. It is Australia’s largest and most dynamic city with a population of over four million people and is consistently ranked in the top ten favourite cities in the world
by leading international travel magazines.

Sydney is one of the world’s busiest multicultural cities where you can experience food, entertainment and customs of many cultures—combined with a relaxed Australian outlook. As Australia’s “world city”, Sydney is the Arts and Business capital of Australia with more entertainment, shopping, sightseeing and opportunity than any other Australian city.

Situated on the glorious Sydney Harbour, spanned by the landmark Harbour Bridge, Sydney’s sparkling waters are constantly criss-crossed by busy ferries and colourful sailing yachts and cruisers. Overlooking the Harbour are the beautiful Botanic Gardens leading down to the world famous Sydney Opera House.

The climate in Sydney is moderate and ideal for outdoor living. There are pristine sandy beaches to the east, National Parks to the north and south, and mountain ranges to the west. The site of the 2000 Olympic Games, Sydney offers world class sporting facilities.

Whatever your particular interest, you are bound to find it in Sydney and Sydney’s friendly people will make you feel welcome.
